Leading polymer component manufacturer Icon Polymer, based in Retford, UK, has appointed Arie Verlaat as Business Development Manager.

Arie joins the company to enhance relationships with existing customers and to develop new clients globally. Director of Sales John Greaves said: “We need to communicate our success to a wider audience and bring our unique skill set and way of working to more customers.” As part of Icon’s expansion as a global supplier it will bring greater value to its customer base across with the appointment of a multi-lingual manager.

Arie said: “Being multi-lingual will ensure that we truly understand the requirements and expectations of our customers. Then we can align our resources to maximise the value we bring to our customers. Arie, who is Dutch, speaks five languages and has in-depth experience of export. Previous roles include UK Sales Director for Krone and Head of Export for Oxford Plastic Systems.

The Icon Polymer Group designs and manufactures high performance, safety critical, polymer-based components for aerospace, defence, transportation, power, energy and various industrial markets.
