Leading polymer component manufacturer Icon Polymer has won a new contract to supply vacuum cleaner manufacturer Bissell.

 

Icon Polymer’s Retford factory will more than 3 million vacuum cleaner belts to the firm, bringing its total annual production of belts for all the leading vacuum manufacturers to almost 20 million units, most of which are exported to the Far East.

 

Icon’s Director of Sales, John Greaves, said: “We have worked closely with Bissell to develop high performance, durable belts for products across the range of models. Most vacuum cleaner manufacturers offer an extended warranty which includes the belt. Icon belts typically last for the life of the cleaner which is why Bissell consider our product the ideal choice for the not only the premium end of the range but also entry level models”
